What is Joey class?
YMCA Global Kindergarten (YGK) is an English kindergarten run by Yokohama YMCA. At YGK, children use English in their daily life as a language of learning. We hold dear and in high respect these four values: “Caring”, “Honesty”, “Responsibility” and “Respect”. In school, children learn and experience many things, like music, art, outings, P.E., seasonal celebrations, excursions, etc. These activities help develop both the physical and mental abilities of the children.
YGK Joey is a preschool class for the 2-3 year olds where they have fun and learn through different activities, like English songs, crafts, games, etc. We named this preschool class “Joey” referring to our aim of having them spend time in a safe and comfortable environment like in the pocket of a mother kangaroo.
