"It's homemade pizza party!"

Cub class just completed a very big task of cooking meal for themselves.
They did a great job following basic steps in cooking such as washing the vegetables, cutting and putting them in separate bowls. Aside from the pizza and salad they made, they also enjoyed cleaning up the kitchen. It was so amazing seeing their smiles with sense of pride and confidence! 

"Sensei, I picked some of my tomatoes this morning. So yummy!"

It's really true that engaging children in growing, harvesting and cooking their own vegetables gives such joy and interest in eating them, too. 

Rainy Day Outing

Puppy friends had a rainy day outing today, inspired by a storybook titled "Blowing Bubbles After the Rain".
Did you know that bubbles don't pop easily after the rain as the rain washes off the dust in the air?
They loved jumping in the puddles! 
They also found some tiny frogs enjoying the rain too!

Cub's Art Activity

Our Cub students were very proud of their blow paintings last Monday, and today they cut them into beautiful sea horses! We made these gorgeous sea horses as the decorations for our July calendar!

YGK Teachers' Training: CPR

Summer is just around the corner. 

It is the season when children have more opportunities to spend time by water.

To spend a safe summer, we had a teachers' CPR training session at YGK.

We also reviewed about the choking hazard and hemostatic method.

It reminded us the importance of being prepared.

For this month's literacy play, kitten class chose to play the role of a zookeeper. 

Look how they meticulously prepared the animals' environment as comfortable and natural as possible!
