YGK Family Picnic

On the 25th of May, we held our annual YGK Family Picnic event at Negishi Forest Park! It is one of the most exciting events every year! We organized fun activities and group games; such as Dancing Time with Monkey Banana song, Parachute, The Longest Line game, and the Bingo Scavenger Hunt! We closed the event by having a drama performance by our lovely teachers. They performed one of our most favorite stories, 'Good Night, Gorilla'. It was a remarkable day and we are very happy and grateful of our students' and parents' cooperation and support during this event!

Fun Activities in the Cub Class

These two weeks have been very interesting for Cubs! We had some fascinating activities; such as sketching tulips at the Yokohama Park, Easter Egg Hunting, the first trial of using watercolor paints, also an easy experiment about disaster using Lego blocks and Kaplas.

There are many interesting activities and events coming up!

Puppy's First Walk to the Park

The Puppy class had their first walk to the park using the donut rope.

We saw beautiful flowers that we learned about such as tulips and azalea.

The Puppies were very excited to see them and felt proud that they could remember their names.

While we were admiring the flowers, some big and colorful butterflies flew next to us.

We ended the walk at the exotic fountain where we saw other gorgeous flowers such as lavender which smelled wonderful!

Happy Easter!

April 1st was Easter.  At YMCA Global Kindergarten (YGK), we celebrated belated Easter.

The Puppy class’ teachers planned an Easter egg hunt for the newly joined Puppies as this is the last day of their very first week at school.

They have made cute Easter baskets for this event.  Holding their hand-made basket, they waited for an Easter bunny to come and hide eggs for them.  Finally, Easter Bunny came and hid a lot of eggs for them!  When the classroom door opened, they saw many colorful eggs here and there.  The Puppies were so happy to pick them up and put them in their baskets.  After the egg hunt, they got some candies!  It was a peaceful and happy day for them.  Happy belated Easter!

Welcome to YGK!

Spring is here and another school year has come to YGK.

We are happy to inform you that we celebrated the new students’ entrance and the current students’ moving-up to a new class on Friday, April 6.

We are really excited to welcome many new friends in this school year again.   As the Kitten and Cub students sang in the ceremony, we would like to send a message to the newly joined students and their families, “Welcome dear new friends. We are glad to see you!”

We look forward to having a lot of fun with you!
