Personnel Information

Thank you for your continued support.

We would like to inform you about the personnel changes in YGK.

Ms. Shayne Candia, our curriculum developer, is expecting a baby and diagnosed to stay home by the doctor. Currently, she is working from home.

Her estimated due date will be at the end of December and she is planning to take maternity leave from the middle of November.  We plan to hire an assistant teacher for the duration of her leave.

We appreciate your kind understanding and sincere support.

Joey's Daily Report: July 16

Today's theme was shape.  We played with various shapes,  circle, triangle... We could make a yacht by putting those shapes together.  They could find the right angle to fit a triangle in the designated place.
As today is the last day of the 1st term, we celebrated the birthday kids of April to July.  The were so glad to receive a medal with their smiley face on.
We look forward to seeing all of you after the summer break.

Joey Class's Daily Report: July 9

We could have a happy day today 🙂

We learned about sea life and had fun activities on it.

Daily Report: Thu, June 25

The Joeys seem to have a lot of energy left over because they cannot play outdoors because of the rain.

We just reminded them to walk in the classroom 🙂

As the lunch time will start from next month, they made their own table mat.

Joey Class's Daily Report: June 23

The Joeys were very spirited and today as well!  They become able to express their feelings to friends and teachers.

We learned about colors during morning meeting.

Cub Class's Parents' Orientation

Dear Cub Parents,

Thank you for your continued support.

Three weeks have passed since they came back to school after the quarantine.  The children seem to gradually settle down into their new school life in their new classroom.

To adjust the new normal, we have decided to hold our class's orientations online this school year.  We would appreciate it if you could attend.

Due to the limited time frame, we will not have a question and answer session.   If you have any concerns or questions and would like to discuss it with the class teachers, we shall set time during the after-school hours.  Please understand that a reservation is required.

The meeting will be held on Zoom.  For a security reason, we would like to ask you to show your child's name on screen.  In case the name is not shown, we might not be able to accept you in the meeting room.

Daily Report June 18

The Joeys were really into cooking today!  They could serve dishes to their friends, teachers and even dolls.

During morning meeting, we reviewed the feeling words.

We made a snail during art time!

Joey Class's Daily Report: June 9

The Joey children came back to school after a weekend with their families.

It's still hard for them to be apart from their mom.

However, as soon as they found their favorite things in the classroom, such as their favorite toy trains, toy cars, drawing or dancing, they showed us a big smile!

During our morning meeting, we learned about names, weathers and feelings.

For art, we made a hydrangea craft.  Luckily, we had real hydrangea flowers to observe.

Let's have more fun on Thursday!
