Time spent at YGK
will be a lifetime treasure

Joey Class's Report: Tue, October 27

We sand "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" together.  The song picked up the pace on the latter half.  Everyone could really follow the pace.  They were so adorable!

We made a trick-or-treat bag for the Halloween party during art time.

They seemed so excited about the party and enjoyed talking about the party.

We look forward to having fun on Thursday!

Today's Joey Class: Fri, October 23

They remember a lot of Halloween characters.

We tried to find the item that Lynette sensei showed.  When they found it, they happily showed it to us!

A friend brought a caterpillar today.  The Joeys were all so excited.  We talked with them, "what do they eat?", "what are you going to be when they grow up?", etc.  Then, we read a story about a beautiful butterfly.

Today's Joey Class: Thu, October 22

We are getting ready for the upcoming Halloween party.

The classroom is full of their hand-made Halloween decorations.  Pumpkins, ghosts, bats, and spiders...

We enjoyed finding them following Lynette sensei's instructions during morning meeting.

We made a witch's hat and turned into cute witches!

We look forward the Halloween party next week.

We appreciate it if you could bring in simple costumes next Tuesday!

Thank you for your cooperation!

Today's Joey Class:Wed, October 21

They are interested in letters recently.  They start learning names of them and friends.  They practice reading letters in their name.

Halloween is just around the corner.
They practiced saying  "Trick or treat!" to get ready for the party.
Let's say "trick or treat!" in a big voice and get candies!

We made ghosts.  Each of them is so unique and cute, isn't it?

Today's Joey Class: Tue, October 20

They sand "Hello Song" in a big voice with cute gestures.  They were so adorable!

As for craft, we made a spider web by putting yarn in the holes on a paper plate.  It was a bit challenging.  Some children struggled with string, others focused weaving... In the end, colorful spider web appeared!

Today's Joey Class: Fri, October 16

Recently, children become able to play together.  When one sat on a chair and said, "this is Keikyu Line", other children joined the child by bringing and lining chairs like a train.  A teacher said, "let's get on the train.  We are departing!", everyone got on the train.  When the train arrived at the station, everyone went back to what they had been playing.   This shows how observant they are about what's going o  around them.
We played "Go Away Monster Game" during morning meeting.  We chased away the monsters by throwing newspaper balls, saying "Go, away!"
Today we celebrated Maitreyi's birthday.  She pretended blowing off the candles on her  birthday cake.
