Time spent at YGK
will be a lifetime treasure

Joey Class's Report: Wed, December 16

Today is the last lesson of this term.

We had a Christmas party.

We made a Christmas wreath by winding red ribbons around it, hanging a pinecone and pasting colorful stars.

Nanami, thank you for the pinecones!

We wore a reindeer hat that we made with their handprint and sang Jingle Bells ringing bells.

We played musical chairs on Christmas songs.

We also enjoyed the book that Nanami brought.

Thank you, Nanami!

Our Christmas tree turned out so beautiful with all their crafts and decorations.

We would like to thank you for all your support.

We hope you enjoy your winter break.

We look forward to seeing you in January.

Joey Class's Report:Fri, December 11

Christmas is just around the corner.

We decorated Christmas tree, enjoying chatting with each other like, "this sparkly thing is something that a princess or prince is wearing, right?" or "what shape is this? It's a Christmas tree.", etc...

We put sparkles on the tree and put white paint around the tree as snowflakes.

We also celebrated Sara's birthday!

We placed a birthday cake in the front and sang Happy Birthday Song together.

Sara seemed so happy!  Happy birthday, Sara!

As Nanami brought a nice book to our class, we enjoyed reading it.

Thank you, Nanami!

Joey Class's Report:Thu, December 10

The children were spirited as usual!

We played "musical chairs" today.  While having fun, we could learn "sit down" and "stand up".

We have a quiet and calm time after fun activities.

The class is so calm.

As we will celebrate Christmas without any visitors this year, we made Christmas cards.

Joey Class's Report:Wed, December 9

It was a winter like morning. When we ask "how are you?" to the Joey friends during circle time, they start to choose "I'm cold" in addition to "I'm happy" or "I'm hungry".  They can find a card that suits their feelings and express their feelings verbally.  We made a Santa's boot and enjoy drawing their own design on it. And also made a Christmas cake during art time.  We are looking forward to Christmas while singing "Jingle Bells"!

Joey Class's Report:Fri, December 4

We sang "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Stars" and "Walking, Walking" on the piano played by Hatsumi sensei during circle time.

After that, we danced to their favorite song "The Baby Shark Song".

We enjoyed "Gingerbread Man" during story time.

We used finger paint to decorate a star ornament.

We had fun!

Joey Class's Report: Tue, December 8

Thank you for your cooperation in helping drawing your children's Christmas wishes.

Their wishes are put on the classroom and make the classroom more Christmassy!

We are making Christmas crafts in these days.  Today we made a snowman.

Everyone made their own adorable snowmen.  We are planning to enjoy Christmas games on the last day of this trimester.

They enjoy their favorite play during play time.

Joey Class's Report:Wed, December 2

It's Wednesday and we spent time with Lynnet sensei.

We learned Christmas vocabulary using flashcards during circle time.

The theme of today's craft was Santa.

We practiced tearing origami paper, paste them on a paper cup as Santa's dress, drew Santa's face and put cotton beard.

Joey Class's Report : Tue, December 1

It's December, the long-awaited Christmas season!

Today, we learned Christmas vocabulary.

When we showed them flashcards, they called out the words in Japanese or English.
As they have gained more words recently, they are becoming more talkative. It's so fun to listen to their stories.
We also learned the opposite words, such as long and short, big and small, etc.  We used our whole body to express the word.

We made a star during art time.  We put them on the Christmas tree that we made last week.

We cannot wait to see when it's done with all the decorations!
